Boiler metal thermocouples for monitoring steam temperature used in thermal power plants have conventionally been installed in boiler tubes, with the sheath thermocouple and PAD welded together as a single unit.
Therefore, the sheath thermocouple had to be cured and handled with care until the boiler tube heat treatment, water pressure and airtightness test, and other installation work were completed.
By making this a detachable PAD structure, these curing procedures are no longer necessary.
Solution
Boiler Metal Thermocouple with PAD for Steam Temperature Monitoring
- Thermocouple
- Special products
- Electric Power
Features
Since the thermocouple is installed after the boiler tube installation work is completed, the installation work can be performed without being aware of the thermocouple. Also, the thermocouple is removable for easy recalibration.
Even with the detachable PAD structure, thermal response, tensile strength, and indicated values are comparable to those of the conventional integrated type.
