A one-piece sheath and PAD are generally used to measure the surface temperature of tubes in the heating furnace of a contact reformer (PLU unit), which is necessary for oil refining.
Tube surface temperature: approx. 600°C Atmosphere temperature inside the furnace: approx. 800°C.
In the case of one-piece units, the PAD is welded to the heating tube, making it difficult to replace the thermocouple, but we can offer a proposal to reduce installation costs.

Detachable PAD for high temperature
Easy, one-touch detachable PADs can be welded first, and sheathed thermocouples can be attached at the time of laying work, eliminating the need for sheath curing and reducing installation costs.
Separate type of explosion-proof terminal box
Installation with the explosion-proof terminal box attached is not easy to work with. We can provide a separation type where only the sheath is attached and then the metal parts for connection and explosion-proof terminal box can be attached.
Measures against sheath thermal expansion
We propose a bending jig for on-site installation of excess sheath that takes thermal elongation into consideration. We also offer a simple jig for curing (coiling) surplus sheath at the site to improve work efficiency.
