Solution

Thermocouple for boiler metal

  • Thermocouple
  • Electric Power

In boilers, which are devices that produce hot water or steam, foreign matter called scales may precipitate inside the piping, causing accidents such as heating, swelling, and shattering. To prevent accidents, the inner surface scale is periodically removed by a chemical cleaning method. The temperature profile of the piping must be accurately understand. Monitoring its temperature determines scaling condition and reduce the frequency of maintenance to a minimum.

Features

With the guidance of the Central Research Institute of Electric Power Industry, we have developed a metal thermometer with a grooved design that takes into account durability, measurement accuracy, and ease of installation.
A sheath thermocouple is embedded in the surface of the boiler water wall tube at the top of the tube vent. In order to eliminate temperature variations due to construction, the sheath thermocouple is processed so that the groove width and depth are uniform, and the work is performed so that the sheath thermocouple is aligned in the groove shape. By deforming the sheath according to the groove shape and reducing the variation in the contact condition, it is possible to measure the temperature accurately by reducing the variation due to the measurement point and mounting work.
