Cryogenic RTD

We have developed a Pt1000Ω RTD for cryogenic use, designed to measure the temperature of liquid hydrogen (-253 °C). It offers excellent resolution and accuracy.
It meets domestic and international standards for pressure-resistant and intrinsically safe explosion-proof use.
For cryogenic measurement traceability, we have capsule thermometers calibrated by AIST (National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology), and we can provide a traceability diagram upon request.

Features

According to JIS C1604, the specified temperature range for RTDs is -200 °C to 850 °C, and no standard resistance value is defined at the liquid hydrogen temperature of -253 °C (20 K).
At YAMARI INDUSTRIES, LIMITED, we have established a reference thermometer (capsule-type platinum resistance thermometer) with cryogenic traceability certified by AIST (National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology), as well as a cryostat for achieving cryogenic temperatures. Using these, we performed measurements at multiple temperature points between -253 °C and -200 °C, and extended the temperature-resistance table down to -235 °C.
By inputting this temperature-resistance table into a converter, 4-20 mA output is also supported.

Applications

  • For liquid hydrogen measurement
    • Cryogenic range below -253 °C
